This course provides an introduction to the study of political economy and examines the history and theory of global political economy as well as contemporary issues and debates.  Topics covered include cooperation and conflict in the global political economy, global trade and production, global finance and financial crises, globalization and the state, and global growth, equality, and the environment.  Special emphasis will be placed on the future of the global political economy.
